Our first year's Yu-han Memorial Trophy annual competition to energize the creativity of using Mandarin language skills by students across Scottish schools has now come to fruition! We are delighted to announce that amongst the extremely motivating and successful 22 entries, our winner of the trophy this year goes to Dollar Academy's 'Wise Lee & The Challenger' (score: 8.67/9), video of the challenger trying to disturb the white beard master Lee from eating his bowl of rice under the tree. The trophy and the actual Kung Fu video were presented at Scotland-China Education Network (SCEN)'s Conference on 14th June 2013. The entry has also won the best in message delivery and joint best in presentation with our runner up Hillhead High School's 'Ellie' (score: 8.33/9), video of Ellie's wonderful instrumental playing and singing in Mandarin. The best in use of Mandarin language goes to Aberdeen Danestone and Harlaw Academy (score: 7.75/9), video of fun sharing about China by both primary and secondary students, which came third. So congratulations and big thank to all the students and teachers who participated in this event, our dedicated judges and especially to SCEN and Confucius Institute for Scotland's School (CISS) for all the kind support! You have all been amazing!
